Experience first-hand these colorful liturgical figurines carved by Juan Ramos, one of Chichicastenango’s celebrated hand artisans. Maya woodcarving traditions are centuries old passed down from generation-to-generation. This piece is entitled "St. Francis and the Birds." The carving stands 15 inches tall and is 5 inches wide. He is holding a dog and two birds adorn his side. The Dog was an original idea and was created just for me which makes it "one of a kind". This is a Fare Trade item
